D’Eyncourt Buries Its 2025 Time Capsule: A Moment for the Future

Yesterday marked a truly memorable occasion at D’Eyncourt Primary School as we came together to bury our 2025 time capsule — a lasting snapshot of school life as it is today, carefully preserved for future generations to discover.

Each class took part in this exciting project, contributing thoughtfully chosen items that reflect the experiences, interests, and voices of our pupils in 2025. From handwritten letters and class artwork to photos, newspaper clippings, and reflections on daily life, the capsule tells the story of our school community in a way that only our children could.

This collaborative effort was more than just a fun activity — it was a chance for our pupils to think about history, legacy, and how their lives today might one day be seen through the eyes of those in the future. The time capsule is now buried safely on school grounds, where it will rest until it is reopened 25 years from now — a treasure trove of memories waiting to be rediscovered.

We’re incredibly proud of the creativity and enthusiasm every child brought to this project. Moments like this remind us of the importance of reflection, community, and looking ahead with curiosity and hope.

Thank you to all our staff and pupils for making this such a special part of the school year!
