In its recent Ofsted inspection, D’Eyncourt Primary was judged to be a ‘Good’ school.

Summary of Key Findings for Parents and Pupils

  • Teaching is good and sometimes outstanding. Teachers provide lively and exciting tasks that enable pupils to build their learning step by step.
  • Pupil’s behaviour is good both in lessons and around the school. Pupils feel safe, are polite and welcoming, and keen to talk positively about their school.
  • Pupils who find learning difficult, or who have special educational needs are given good support. The teaching of reading and phonics (the sounds that letters make) is particularly good for those pupils who had previously fallen behind.
  • Pupils make good overall progress throughout the school in English and mathematics.
  • The headteacher and governing body take a strong lead in driving improvement.
  • Pupils who find learning difficult, or who have special educational needs are given good support. The teaching of reading and phonics (the sounds that letters make) is particularly good for those pupils who had previously fallen behind.
